In related news, on September 9, Roundhill officially unveiled the Roundhill MLCC & Electronic Components ETF, a fund designed to spotlight global leaders in multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) and electronic components. The launch signals that MLCC is evolving from a collection of individual stock plays into a standalone AI hardware theme.

The ETF's largest holding is Japan's MLCC titan Murata Manufacturing, with Samsung Electro-Mechanics ranking second and CCTC securing the third spot. Notably, following a 30% price hike on August 1, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has inked a long-term supply agreement worth approximately KRW 1.07 trillion for AI server MLCCs, marking the single largest MLCC contract in the company's history and representing 9.5% of its consolidated revenue from the previous fiscal year. Additionally, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has recently taken the lead in raising quotes for the fourth quarter of 2026 directed at OEM and ODM clients.
