The rally follows a recent announcement by the Shanghai Stock Exchange regarding the adjustment of eligible stocks under the Southbound Stock Connect scheme.
Shougang Lanza has officially been added to the Stock Connect list, with the inclusion taking effect on September 7. Being part of this program is expected to help the company optimize its investor base, improve stock liquidity, and enhance its brand value, ultimately fostering a more favorable capital market environment for its long-term growth.
It is worth noting that Shougang Lanza made its debut on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 3, and within just three months of listing, it has been included in multiple Hang Seng Index series. On August 21, the stock was successfully added to six indices, including the Hang Seng Composite Index, the Hang Seng Composite Industry Index - Materials, the Hang Seng Composite MidCap & SmallCap Index, the Hang Seng Composite SmallCap Index, the Hang Seng Stock Connect Raw Materials and Industrials Index, and the Hang Seng Stock Connect Raw Materials and Industrials (Investable) Index. In September, it was formally incorporated into the Stock Connect program.
