Accelink Technologies Co., Ltd. (stock code: 002281) recently announced its intention to pursue a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company, which already trades on the A-share market, saw its shares close at 167.7 yuan on Friday, giving it a market capitalization of 138.8 billion yuan. This price marks a significant decline from its peak of 279 yuan recorded on June 26, 2026, representing a drop of approximately 40% over the past three months.

Despite this pullback, the stock's price-to-earnings ratio remains elevated at 120.1 times. In the first half of the year, the company generated revenue of 6.6 billion yuan and net profit of 580 million yuan.

As a prominent player in the optoelectronics industry, Accelink Technologies has been dedicated to the optical communications sector for five decades, possessing strategic research and development capabilities alongside mass production capacity for optoelectronic chips, devices, and modules. Its product portfolio spans the full spectrum of optical communication modules, passive optical components, optical waveguide integrated devices, and optical fiber amplifiers, serving core applications in backbone networks, metropolitan area networks, broadband access, wireless communications, data centers, and the Internet of Things.

The company holds expertise in a variety of laser chips including FP, DFB, EML, and VCSEL types, as well as detector chips such as PD and APD, supported by a SiP chip platform that underpins both direct modulation and coherent modulation solutions. Additionally, Accelink Technologies operates multiple packaging platforms including COB, hybrid integration, planar lightwave circuits, micro-optics, and MEMS devices, ensuring stable mass production across its product range. The firm has established comprehensive solutions and flexible manufacturing capabilities with high-quality delivery across optical transmission networks, access networks, and data centers.

Financial reports show that Accelink Technologies achieved first-half 2026 revenue of 6.6 billion yuan, a 26% increase from 5.24 billion yuan in the same period last year. Net profit reached 582 million yuan, up 56% from 372 million yuan year-over-year, while non-GAAP net profit climbed 58% to 568 million yuan from 360 million yuan. However, net cash flow from operating activities registered a negative 1.236 billion yuan during the period.

The board of directors has approved a profit distribution plan based on a share base of 827,848,838 shares, proposing a cash dividend of 3.7 yuan per 10 shares including tax, with no bonus shares issued and no capital reserve conversion. This distribution amounts to approximately 300 million yuan in total dividends.

Turning to the shareholder structure as of June 30, 2026, Fiberhome Technology Group Co., Ltd. holds a 35.22% stake, followed by China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd. at 3.75%, and China Information and Communication Technologies Group Corporation at 3.01%. Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Ltd. owns 2.23%, while the Guotai CSI All-Share Communications Equipment ETF managed by ICBC holds 1.1%.

Additional shareholders include Tianjin Yuanfeng Boke Enterprise Management Partnership at 0.58%, Pu Haowen with 0.46%, the E Fund CSI Artificial Intelligence Thematic ETF also under ICBC at 0.37%, the China Bank华夏 CSI 5G Communications Thematic ETF with 0.27%, and the National Social Security Fund Portfolio 502 holding 0.23%.

Where to Begin: The company's pivot toward Hong Kong signals its ambition to access international capital markets. For investors monitoring this transition, the sharp share price correction from June's peak presents both risks and opportunities, particularly given the still-lofty valuation multiples.

Key Considerations: The dual-listing strategy could enhance Accelink Technologies' global presence and funding flexibility. However, the negative operating cash flow in the first half warrants attention, as does the competitive landscape in optical communications where the company faces pressure from both domestic and international peers.
