Hengrui Pharma Subsidiary Gains Clinical Trial Approval for Weight Management Drug Candidate

Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (SH: 600276) has announced that its subsidiary, Shandong Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., recently received the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration for its HRS-1597 tablets, with clinical trials slated to commence in the near future.
HRS-1597 is a Class 1 innovative drug independently developed by the company, intended for use in weight management. According to available data, no similar drugs have yet been approved for marketing in either domestic or international markets.
As of the present date, the cumulative research and development investment in the HRS-1597 project amounts to approximately RMB 16.9 million (unaudited).
