Drivers in Hainan will face higher costs at the pump starting tonight, with the province's fuel prices set to rise.

The price for 92-octane gasoline will increase to 9.41 yuan per liter, while 95-octane gasoline will be priced at 9.99 yuan per liter, with the new rates taking effect from 24:00 on September 11.

According to the domestic refined oil product price adjustment information released by the National Development and Reform Commission's news center on September 11, gasoline and diesel prices (standard grade) have been raised by 260 yuan per ton and 250 yuan per ton, respectively. Following the current refined oil pricing mechanism, the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission has adjusted the province's maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel, which will also take effect from 24:00 on September 11.

Key details from the Hainan gasoline and diesel maximum retail price table indicate that the listed prices already include consumption tax, value-added tax, urban construction tax, and education surcharges. Additionally, the gasoline and diesel prices correspond to the national sixth-stage mandatory standard VI-B vehicle gasoline and VI vehicle diesel. The standard products for the sixth stage of gasoline and diesel are 89-octane gasoline and 0-octane vehicle diesel, respectively. Notably, each liter of gasoline includes a 1.05 yuan vehicle passage surcharge, whereas 0-octane diesel does not include this surcharge.

In accordance with the oil and gas price linkage regulations, the province's retail price for compressed natural gas for vehicles will rise from 5.57 yuan per cubic meter (equivalent to 7.74 yuan per kilogram) to 5.72 yuan per cubic meter (equivalent to 7.95 yuan per kilogram).
