Hong Kong dollar interbank lending rates showed mixed movements on September 8, with key tenors recording varied shifts across the curve.
The one-month rate, closely tied to mortgage pricing, advanced by 3.744 basis points to settle at 2.89220%. Meanwhile, the three-month rate, which reflects banks' funding costs, edged up 1.494 basis points to reach 3.07964%.
In shorter tenors, the overnight rate declined sharply by 25.036 basis points to 2.79714%. The one-week rate increased by 5.970 basis points to 2.74857%, while the two-week rate rose 8.274 basis points to 2.77869%. Additionally, the two-month rate climbed 2.560 basis points to 2.99268%.
On the longer end of the spectrum, the six-month rate slipped 0.334 basis points to 3.23958%, and the one-year rate decreased by 1.148 basis points to 3.58048%.
