The Guangxi Future AI Industrial Design Innovation Center officially launched on September 9th in Nanning, marking a significant step in the region's push to integrate artificial intelligence with industrial design.

Co-founded by the Shenzhen Industrial Design Association and Guangxi Vocational College of Industry and Technology, the center operates as a provincial-level strategic innovation platform dedicated to the deep convergence of AI and industrial design methodologies.

The initiative aims to precisely empower ten major modern pillar industries within Guangxi's manufacturing sector, positioning itself as a model for Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation and serving as a regional hub for AI-driven industrial design collaboration.

Beyond regional development, the center is designed to support Guangxi's broader strategy of advancing new industrialization and establishing a highland for AI industries oriented toward the ASEAN market.

The facility has already attracted 20 enterprises and institutions, bringing together top domestic and international experts in both artificial intelligence and industrial design disciplines.

A range of specialized functional zones have been established, including an AI design laboratory, industrial design lab, master studios, maker prototyping space, data annotation laboratory, and an ASEAN smart-innovation AI livestream studio.

The center also features immersive interactive experiences and exhibition spaces for innovative achievements, creating a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates creative research and development, prototype verification, industry-education collaboration training, international cooperation, and industrial service transformation.

According to officials at the Guangxi Future AI Industrial Design Innovation Center, upcoming priorities include aligning with regional industrial realities, consolidating innovation resources, and accelerating the practical application of AI in design, pattern-making, and digital marketing scenarios.

Planned activities such as lectures, talent boot camps, and industry-enterprise matchmaking sessions will promote widespread adoption of AI-driven design concepts, stimulate creative vitality, and foster a healthy industrial ecosystem.

The ultimate objective is to facilitate the deep integration of "AI plus industrial design" with local industries, driving sustainable and innovative growth across Guangxi's manufacturing landscape.
