At a routine press conference on September 11, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning addressed a query regarding China's position on resolving various regional flashpoints during the BRICS summit.
Mao emphasized that China advocates a vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security, adding that Beijing is committed to facilitating political settlements of these hot-button issues through dialogue.
The spokesperson expressed hope that, together with BRICS partners, China can encourage all parties to resolve differences via talks and negotiation, thereby safeguarding peace and stability in the region and across the globe.
