Persian Gulf Nations Set to Convene on Strait of Hormuz Shipping Security

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Baqaei, announced that Iran, Iraq, and other Persian Gulf coastal states will hold a regional meeting in Oman on September 14 to exchange views on establishing safe shipping lanes for commercial navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the foreign ministers of the six Gulf Cooperation Council member states also plan to meet with Iran's foreign minister on September 14, aiming to secure broad support and finalize a provisional agreement on managing maritime traffic through the crucial waterway.
