Shares of HBM Holdings-B (02142) surged more than 4% during Tuesday's morning trading session, with the stock last changing hands at HK$15.23, up 4.67%, on turnover of approximately HK$59.8 million.
The rally follows the announcement on September 8 that HBM Holdings and Kelun-Biotech's partner, Windward Bio, had unveiled positive interim results from the Phase II portion of the POLARIS-1 clinical study. The trial evaluates the efficacy of the ultralong-acting TSLP bispecific antibody HBM9378/WIN378 administered twice a year in treating asthma. Looking ahead, Windward Bio intends to launch a second Phase III study, POLARIS-2, in the first half of 2027.
Adding to the positive sentiment, HBM Holdings was officially included in the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect eligible share lists effective September 7. This move allows eligible mainland Chinese investors to directly purchase the company's shares through these programs. The board of directors believes that this inclusion will broaden the company's investor base and further enhance the liquidity of its shares.
