The enterprise overseas service center at Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport has announced a significant milestone, successfully completing its first cross-border air logistics order for Chery Automobile. This achievement marks a solid step forward in establishing a comprehensive supply chain service system tailored to support manufacturing companies expanding internationally from the airport.
In this inaugural operation, locally produced automotive components were transported through the airport's international cargo channel directly to a partner warehouse in the Philippines, delivering efficient and rapid cross-border logistics services. The success stems from the close collaboration between Wuhu Airport Logistics Development Co., Ltd. and Chery Automobile, with the logistics firm securing the bid for Chery's second-half international air freight business as early as July 24 this year, thereby cementing a long-term and stable partnership.
The first shipment utilized the regular international all-cargo route connecting Wuhu and Manila, with JD Airlines flight JG2159 carrying Chery's overseas components. Through seamless coordination and synchronized operations, the cargo arrived smoothly at Manila Airport, showcasing the airport's professional expertise and high-efficiency service in the international logistics sector.
Notably, on September 10, Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport also successfully transported two shipments of Chery goods destined for Pakistan, which cleared customs without issue at Lahore Airport. These achievements indicate that Chery's cross-border air freight operations have now been implemented across multiple points simultaneously, further broadening its global market presence.
To address Chery's specific export requirements, Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport has developed customized services that integrate full-chain resources, including route capacity, port clearance, ground handling, and cross-border transshipment, thereby providing enterprises with a stable and efficient air logistics corridor. This initiative has not only helped Chery reduce logistics costs and improve operational efficiency but also provided solid logistical support for its efforts to deepen overseas market penetration and optimize its global supply chain layout.
