At this year's China International Fair for Trade in Services, AI-driven digital content going global has emerged as one of the standout highlights. China's digital content industry is now pioneering a new export model characterized by lightweight efficiency, low costs, and round-the-clock availability. AI virtual anchors are now capable of automatically adapting to multiple languages to cater to overseas markets. Industry insiders point out that a digital human system designed for non-stop promotional broadcasting, operating 24/7, can be run for a monthly cost of merely 2,000 to 3,000 yuan.
Beyond AI avatars, the popularity of AI-generated short dramas has surged dramatically. One company executive noted that using AIGC to produce a complete series can reduce expenses by as much as 80% compared to traditional live-action filming. Data shows that China's total service exports reached 1.77323 trillion yuan in the first seven months of this year, marking a year-on-year growth of 17.1%.
The shift is clear: instead of merely selling products, the focus has moved to delivering comprehensive solutions and cultural experiences. From digital humans to AI-produced short dramas, China's services sector is rapidly climbing the global value chain.
