According to sources familiar with the matter, a fund managed by Jefferies Financial Group Inc. has secured an asset freeze order in Singapore against Radiant World and its founder Pinkesh Nahar. The ruling was issued during a closed-door hearing on Wednesday in Singapore, following the fund's earlier success in obtaining a worldwide asset freeze order from the High Court in London against the same parties. Media reports indicate that the fund has initiated legal proceedings in London seeking $500 million in damages, alleging that Radiant World fabricated iron ore invoices as part of a "fraudulent scheme."
