Wuxi Shuofang Airport is set to welcome a new international route. Starting October 9, the direct flight connecting Wuxi and Vientiane, Laos, will resume operations.
According to information from 9 Air, the Wuxi-Vientiane route, operating under flight numbers AQ1233 and AQ1234, will run three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The detailed schedule is as follows: Flight AQ1233 departs Wuxi at 11:20 and arrives in Vientiane at 14:00, while flight AQ1234 departs Vientiane at 15:00 and lands in Wuxi at 19:25.
A representative from 9 Air's marketing department explained that the airline had previously launched this route last year, but operations were suspended due to a significant surge in fuel costs. Recently, with oil prices declining, the winter-spring season marking Laos' peak tourist period, and the growing trade activity between Yangtze River Delta cities and Laos, the airline has decided to reinstate the service based on these combined factors.
