At the 2026 Inclusion·Outer Temple Conference forum "AI Economic Growth: New Paradigms and Social Value Reconstruction," held on the afternoon of September 9th, Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi emphasized that once new demand takes shape, the next critical question emerges: how can AI-driven growth be converted into tangible employment and income opportunities for individual workers and small-to-medium enterprises, thereby creating a new "investment-income-consumption" cycle?
To realize this cycle, Han argued that a more balanced and equitable distribution between capital and labor is essential, requiring the parallel development of robust distribution and social security mechanisms. Addressing potential job displacement from AI, some have suggested creating "human-exclusive positions." Han noted that while this concept holds some merit for roles involving ethical responsibility, such as judicial rulings, broadly institutionalizing existing jobs through administrative measures could come at the cost of productivity.
"A more sustainable path is to enhance the ability and opportunity for workers and SMEs to participate in creating new value and sharing in the dividends of AI-driven growth," Han stated. He outlined a two-pronged approach: On one front, enterprises must convert complex model capabilities into low-cost, user-friendly products that directly solve practical problems, thereby lowering the barriers to AI adoption for individuals and smaller businesses. On the other, efforts should focus on enhancing human capabilities through education and vocational training, allowing people to leverage their judgment and creativity within human-machine collaboration frameworks.
Furthermore, Han stressed the need to improve secondary distribution mechanisms and establish appropriately adapted social security measures to support workers through the AI transition period and help them re-engage in the new economic cycle. He affirmed that Ant Group will fulfill its corporate responsibility by continuing to anchor its AI innovations in real-world needs and business scenarios, such as life services, medical health, and financial services. Simultaneously, the company will collaborate with ecosystem partners to build an open, trustworthy intelligent agent commercial infrastructure, accelerating the AI economic loop.
"The value of AI will ultimately be judged by genuine growth, and equally by the sense of attainment it brings to a broader population," Han concluded.
