Continuous heavy rainfall from Typhoon "Sadur" triggered a landslide disaster in the Shixia Group of Mingkeng Village, Gaoping Town, Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province, on September 5. As of 6 p.m. on September 7, notable progress has been achieved in the county's post-disaster restoration of roads, water, electricity, and communication networks.
Regarding road repairs, a total of 230 collapses have been recorded on national and provincial highways across the county, with only one section, the Yingpanwei section of S546, still under emergency repair. For county-level and lower roads, there are 1,601 affected points, including 424 on county roads, with only the X051 Hezuo Line segment from Huangjin Village to Yangxi Village yet to be reopened.
Recovery of rural utilities continues to gain momentum. Of the county's 297 administrative villages, 287 have seen road access restored, accounting for 96.12%, while the remaining 12 are still being worked on. Communication networks have been reconnected in 287 villages, representing 92.88%, with 22 still pending. Power supply has been restored to 280 villages, or 90.61%, leaving 29 to be addressed. Clean water access has resumed in 254 villages, equivalent to 82.2%, with 55 still awaiting restoration.
Emergency response and disaster relief operations across the county remain fully underway.
