Chinese Yuan Reference Rate Strengthens to 6.7769 Against the Dollar

The central parity rate of the Chinese yuan against the US dollar was set at 6.7769 on September 9th, marking an upward adjustment of 35 basis points.

According to the CME Group's "FedWatch" tool, the probability of the Federal Reserve holding interest rates steady at its September meeting stands at 40.6%, while the likelihood of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate hike is 59.4%.

Looking ahead to October, the tool indicates a 29.8% chance that the Fed will maintain the current rate, a 54.4% probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point increase, and a 15.8% chance of a cumulative 50-basis-point hike.
