On September 3rd, coinciding with the anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the global anti-fascist struggle, a patriotic educational initiative was launched in Zuoquan County. The event, centered on the theme of promoting the spirit of the war and strengthening national defense, was jointly organized by the county's military recruitment office, its publicity department, and the local veterans affairs bureau. Participants included Feng Ruibin, a member of the county party committee and head of publicity; Bai Yangqing, another committee member and political commissar of the military recruitment office; Yang Yanhui, the office's commander; and a group of prospective new recruits.

The activities took place at the Liao County Memorial Hall of the War of Resistance, where exhibits of wartime artifacts and historical photographs vividly depicted the fierce battles and sacrifices made by local soldiers and civilians. The county officials and recruits listened carefully to detailed explanations, paused to examine each display, and learned about the valiant deeds of revolutionary forebears who faced danger without flinching. This immersive experience allowed them to appreciate the profound revolutionary heritage of the region, offering a meaningful opportunity for ideological reflection and defense education.

Feng Hao, a staff member of the veterans affairs bureau's placement section, explained the purpose behind the event, stating that it aims to help new recruits gain a deep, immersive understanding of the Taihang anti-war spirit and to honor the memory of revolutionary martyrs. He emphasized that the county will continue to leverage its local red resources, regularly conduct education that strengthens patriotic values, share the stories of Zuoquan's wartime history, and provide comprehensive support services for military families. The goal is to inspire new soldiers to enter service carrying the hopes of the old revolutionary base area and to build strong careers in national defense.
