Motorists are advised to fill up their tanks soon, as a fresh round of fuel price adjustments is scheduled to take effect at 24:00 on September 11th (tomorrow). This will mark the 18th pricing window of the year under the domestic refined oil product pricing mechanism, with the current statistical period for this cycle already 90% complete.
Based on the latest calculations from the ninth working day of data (as of September 10th), gasoline is projected to rise by 340 yuan per tonne, while diesel is expected to increase by 330 yuan per tonne. When converted to retail prices at the pump, this equates to an increase of 0.27 yuan per litre for 92-octane gasoline, 0.29 yuan per litre for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.28 yuan per litre for 0-diesel.
For a typical vehicle with a 50-litre fuel tank, this would mean an additional cost of roughly 13.5 to 14.5 yuan to fill up completely. Currently, the national average reference prices stand at 8.07 yuan per litre for 92-octane, 8.61 yuan per litre for 95-octane, and 7.73 yuan per litre for 0-diesel.
As a friendly reminder, fuel prices are highly likely to surge after 24:00 tomorrow. Drivers of petrol-powered vehicles are encouraged to complete their refuelling before the adjustment takes effect, helping to save on upcoming travel expenses.
