Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (SID) said Wednesday that Benjamin Steinbruch is leaving the position of Chief Executive Officer after leading the company since 2002, with former Vale CEO Fabio Schvartsman taking over, starting Sept. 3, according to a filing translated by Google Translate.
Steinbruch will move into the chairman role, as chairman of the board of directors, CSN said.
Schvartsman previously led Vale from 2017 to 2019 and pulp producer Klabin before that.
