Carlyle (CG), Bain Capital, Oaktree and Nextalia are among the firms preparing to bid for a minority interest in a company holding the international media rights of Italy's Serie A soccer league, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing three sources familiar with the matter.

Binding bids of up to 20% stakes in the unit, including its betting and sponsorship business, are due by Friday, according to the report.

Bain declined comment, and the other firms did not respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
