Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic has, since October, secured deals for at least 14.8 gigawatts of compute capacity over the next few years, the Information reported Sunday, based on an analysis of company statements and previous reporting.
In addition, Anthropic secured between one and two gigawatts of capacity before October, the report stated, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Over the next decade, Anthropic could spend up to $517 billion, according to the report, based on commitments to rent cloud capacity, chips and data center leases.
Anthropic did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
