Starlux Airlines (TPE:2646) will increase its booking service charge to $33 from $30 from Oct. 7, marking its second fee increase this year, Focus Taiwan reported Monday, citing the company.

The Taiwan-based carrier last raised the charge in April, when it was lifted to $30 from $25. The fees are levied through global distribution systems, which link airlines with travel agencies and online ticketing platforms to process reservations, according to the report.

The carrier did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
