0507 GMT - The European Central Bank will likely combine the anticipated interest-rate increase with a deliberately open-ended message on Thursday, State Street Investment Management's Konrad Kleinfeld says in a note. "For the markets, the focus is thus less on the September decision than on the question of whether a deposit rate of 2.50% is already considered sufficiently restrictive or whether the central bank is keeping the door open for December," he says. Money markets fully price in a 25bp hike on Thursday, bringing the deposit rate to 2.50%, according to LSEG.
