Synertec Secures AU$45.5 Million Engineering Services Contract From Australian Government Agency; Shares Surge 19%

Synertec (ASX:SOP) secured an engineering services contract from an unnamed Australian government agency valued at AU$45.5 million over eight years, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Most of the work will occur over the first 26 months of the contract period, and the project will not require material capital expenditure by Synertec, per the filing.

The scope of the award covers design development, detailed design and documentation deliverables, along with construction and commissioning support, the company said.

Its shares surged 19% in recent Monday trade.
