BOE Could Keep Interest Rates on Hold into 2027

1133 GMT - The Bank of England could keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75% for the remainder of 2026 given the U.K.'s fragile jobs market, ING economists say in a note. "Unlike the U.S. or even the eurozone, where there is a live debate about whether monetary policy is restricting activity at the current level of interest rates, that is a much harder argument to make in Britain." Markets fully price in three BOE rate rises by March 2027, LSEG data show.
