Taiwan-based direct employees of US-based chip maker Micron Technology will receive total rewards equivalent to 35 to 68 months of pay for the fiscal 2026, with minimum cash compensation of NT$1.7 million, Reuters reported on Friday quoting the company.

Taiwan employees of the company who joined before Aug. 29, 2025, will get a cash bonus of NT$1 million for fiscal 2026.

Micron's decision follows a major demonstration of support for potential strike action by unions representing a majority of its Taiwanese workforce.
