SMC Completes 50 Billion Yen Share Repurchase Program

SMC (TYO:6273) completed its share buyback program after repurchasing a cumulative 720,700 shares for nearly 50 billion yen, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

In the final tranche between Sept. 1 and Sept. 3, the company repurchased 39,600 common shares for 2.68 billlion yen through market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The original resolution authorized repurchases of up to 800,000 shares for a maximum of 50 billion yen between May 20, 2026 and March 24, 2027.

With the latest repurchase, SMC has effectively exhausted the authorized buyback limit ahead of the March 2027 deadline.
