Roblox (RBLX) said Friday it will roll out Roblox Wallet, a financial account letting creators earn in real currency, receive automatic daily payments, and transfer funds to other Roblox accounts or external bank accounts.
Wallet will launch later this year for eligible U.S.-based independent creators 18 and older, with global expansion planned for next year, the company said, adding that A connected Roblox Card, allowing creators to spend their balance anywhere the card is accepted, will begin rolling out next year.
Separately, Roblox announced Roblox Everywhere, which will let creators make their games available as standalone apps across mobile, PC, and consoles outside the Roblox platform, with Roblox powering the underlying technology and services.
By the end of the year, players will also be able to join games directly in a web browser without downloading an app, the company said.
